The Big Danish Deal

The Ice Hockey World Championship was coming to Denmark.
However, the Danish national team wasn't playing in their main stadium..
Plus, the Danes aren't the biggest fans of the sport, in fact not AT ALL.
Which meant that we had an empty iconic stadium to fill, and some publicity to generate.
So, what do you do?
Trade it!
The idea was simple.
Denmark would trade one of it's national treasures (their main stadium),
for a national treasure of a competing country - for a limited time of course.
The winning country would essentially be winning home-field advantage.
Now, that's what you call a face-off (don't ask, it's a generic ice hockey term. Get over it).
